On Nov 23rd, the 2020 meeting of the committee of the Key Laboratory for Biomedical Engineering of Ministry of Education of China was held Successfully. Prof. Li Lanjuan, director of the committee, Prof. Ye Zhizhen, deputy director of the committee and more than 40 members of the committee attended the meeting. Prof. Luo Qingming,Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Prof. Jimmy Hsia attended the meeting online.
Prof. Wang Ping, director of the Key Laboratory, introduced in detail the development of the laboratory in the past year. Four teachers from the key Laboratory, including Prof. Zhang Hong, Prof. Anna Wang Roe, Prof. Ye Xuesong and Prof. Xu Kedi, made reports on the four research directions of the Key Laboratory including biomedical sensing and microanalysis system, quantitative physiology and neural engineering, biomedical informatics and medical imaging, electronic & information technology and medical instrument.
Members of the Committee first affirmed the development and the research achievement of the laboratory, pointing out that the key laboratory has many advantages and opportunities in the cutting-edge scientific research. The meeting had a heated discussion on the report and research results of the lab, and put forward many constructive suggestions which played a guiding role for the key laboratory to further improve the running mechanism, and have high-quality development.
Finally, Prof. Zhang Hong thanked the experts for clarifying the key future research direction and development path for the Key Laboratory. CBEIS will further concise direction, highlight characteristics, optimize resources to promote the construction and development of key laboratories.
