In September, new students came into CBEIS. With the care and instructions of the new semester, the leadership of CBEIS welcomed the new academic year together with the students.
On September 18th, accompanied by undergraduate counselor Ms. Cao Ye, Dean Prof. Zhang Hong, Deputy Secretary Mr. Xiang Pinhui and Deputy Secretary Ms. Yang Yang came to the dormitory of students of grade 2018 who had just moved from Zijingang Campus to Yuquan Campus. Prof. Zhang was particularly concerned about the students' adaptation, while Mr. Xiang Pinhui paid more attention to students’ daily lives as well as their hobbies.
On the same day, Mr. Xiang Pinhui and Ms. Yang Yang had a cordial meeting with the representatives of the new graduate students of class 2020. At the meeting, Mr. Xiang Pinhui was very concerned about the freshmen’s adaption to the new studies. He encouraged students to continue their studies with a greater field of vision and a broader mind.
At the meeting, the graduate students of grade 2020 expressed their experiences and feelings since they entered CBEIS, and put forward their views on scientific research exchange, elective courses, career planning, cross-campus learning, cross-training mechanism and other aspects.
On September 10th, Prof. Zhou Hong, vice President of CBEIS, Ms. Yang Yang and Dr. Wu Dan, Research Professor, and Mr. Qi Wei held an offline meeting with the undergraduate freshmen of grade 2020 in Zijingang Campus. The meeting was presided over by Ms. Cao Ye.
Prof. Zhou Hong first congratulated the students on becoming a member of CBEIS and introduced their major: biomedical engineering. Ms. Yang Yang hoped that the students will make persistent efforts in the following study and life, and showed their unique style in CBEIS. As the class tutor of 2001 freshman class, Dr. Wu Dan affirmed the excellent quality of the students in the interview, and welcomed the students to visit the laboratory. Mr. Qi Wei offered some advice on undergraduate studies and career planning.
Later, freshmen made a self-introduction, hoping to leave a deep and novel first impression on the class. At last, the students sent teachers' Day wishes to the teachers.
The new semester, the new atmosphere, CBEIS constantly replenishes the new blood and will continue to work hard and keep moving forward!
