On September 24th, the 21st Student Congress of College of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science(CBEIS) was held grandly. 43 student representatives from 12 undergraduate classes of CBEIS attended the congress.
The meeting consisted of preparatory meeting, plenary meeting and election meeting. In the plenary meeting, Ms. Yang Yang, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee, made a speech. She pointed out that in the current situation, students should shoulder the important task, focus on the overall situation, and make an accurate positioning of themselves. She affirmed the work of the CBEIS Student Union in the past year, and put forward new expectations for students to become an excellent striver, pioneer, devotee.
Huang Jiongrui, President of the Student Union of the College of Computer Science and Technology, delivered a speech. He said that the CBEIS Student Union had a close relationship with the Student Union of the College of Computer Science and Technology, and hoped to strengthen cooperation to hold more high-quality student activities in the future.
Li Yuan, Chairman of CBEIS Student Union presented the work report. He reviewed the activities held in the past year, revisited the working mode and adjustment of various systems in the past year, and reflected on the problems exposed. Xia Yiyao, member of the Presidium of CBEIS Student Union submitted a proposal report to the representatives attending the meeting on behalf of the proposal working Committee.
In the election meeting, five candidates of the presidium came to the stage in turn and made campaign speeches. After serious voting and strict counting, Qiu Yuming, Yu Beibo and Zhu Yunqi were finally elected as the presidium members of the new CBEIS Student Union. At the same time, the student representatives who participated in the school's thirty-third Student Congress were also elected.
Finally, the 21st Student Congress of CBEIS successfully ended in the school song.
