On October 16, Mr. Ren Shaobo, Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhejiang University (ZJU), and Prof. Zhou Tianhua, Vice President of ZJU, came to College of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science (CBEIS) to carry out grassroots investigation and guided the work of CBEIS.
Dr. Zhang Hong, Chief of CBEIS, Mr. Xiang Pinghui, Head of the Party Committee, and teachers from CBEIS attended the research forum. The research forum was hosted by Mr. Xiang Pinghui.
Secretary Mr. Ren Shaobo first listened to Dr. Zhang Hong's report, and had an in-depth exchange of views with the attending teachers. Mr. Ren Shaobo gave full affirmation to the works of CBEIS. He pointed out that biomedical engineering, as the typical model of multi-disciplinary integration, played an important role in the development of ZJU. Biomedical engineering was one of the best disciplines of ZJU and it is entirely possible to build it into the most brilliant brand discipline of ZJU again. Secretary Ren required everyone to clarify their thinking and be prepared to lead China's biomedical engineering development. Mr. Ren also emphasized that in the construction of teacher troop, CBEIS should be people-oriented, open-minded, and combine cultivation and introduction of talents to create a multi-level structure of teachers. Finally, Secretary Ren once again indicated that he was full of hope for the future development of CBEIS and the discipline of biomedical engineering.
In the end, Dr. Zhang Hong stated that in the following works of CBEIS, the goal must be lofty, the spirit of the whole college should be inspired. Aiming at the world-class biomedical engineering department, CBEIS will accelerate the development of the discipline.
The faculty members and staff of CBEIS attended the meeting said that the guidance of Mr. Ren was inspiring and inspiring. All members of CBEIS will work together to promote the reform and development of CBEIS and help the construction of double first-class of ZJU.
