On April 9, Prof. Sergey Ablameyko, Academician of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Engineering and former President of the Belarusian State University, visited College of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science. Prof. JInsong Li, Dean of College of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science, Prof. Ping Wang, Director of Key Laboratory of Biomedical Engineering, Ministry of Education, Prof. Ling Xia, Director of Research Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Prof. Gangmin Ning, Assistant to Dean and young teachers of the college, Yi Zhang, Dan Wu, Yinke Xu, Hongjian He, attended the reception. Prof. Sergey Ablameyko introduced the Belarusian National University and its cooperation with Chinese universities. He also gave us a wonderful academic report on the medical image processing and the development of electronic medical record systems that his group is working on. After the report, he visited the relevant laboratories of the college, accompanied by Prof. Ping Wang.
During the visit, Dean Jinsong Li briefly introduced the overall situation of the college and the future development direction of disciplines to prof. Sergey Ablameyko. The two sides agreed to pay close attention to the opportunities for Sino-Belarusian scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation under the framework of the “Belt and Road”, including joint establishment of laboratories or research centers, joint application of scientific research issues, etc. The visit of foreign experts this time promoted the college’s international influence and enhanced the mutual understanding.
