"Key Technology Development and Application of Ultra-high-speed Digital Printing Equipment" led by Prof. Yaowu Chen, College of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science, Zhejiang University, won the second prize of 2017 National Technology Invention Award.

Project Description: Ultra-high speed digital printing equipment is the key equipment for the transformation and upgrading of the printing industry. This project addresses the technical bottlenecks that have plagued the industry for a long time. Under the support of The National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), three core technologies, like real-time parallel processing engine of large flow printing data, were developed and the ultra-high speed digital printing machines with independent intellectual property rights were invented. The overall technical level of it is at the leading position in the world. The products have been exported to more than 20 countries and regions and successfully applied in more than 200 printing companies.
